The San Diego Bead Society is a non-profit organization that provides the San Diego community with an educational resource in the artistic, historical, and intercultural significance of beads and related crafts.

We are excited to announce the we have received our 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.

Our organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, or scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

No membership fees for 2026!

Colorful Czech Saturn beads take the stage alongside matching beaded beads in this otherworldly necklace. The focal piece combines right-angle weave (RAW) and prismatic right-angle weave (PRAW) stitches with a little bit of wirework to encase a Saturn bead inside several arcs of beadwork.

This necklace was inspired by the stained glass cathedral windows in Europe. With a combination of bead embroidery and beadweaving, some interesting techniques will be taught in this class.
