Pauline Warg - Fellow Bead Addict to Speak at June Meeting

“I love beads. I love to make beads, wear beads, and hold beads. My attraction began when I was a child. I loved the feel and sound of beads as I ran them through my hands.”

These are the first words in Pauline Warg’s wonderful new book, Making Metal Beads. Pauline will be the headliner at our June meeting. The title of her program is Metal Beads and Related Forms: A Personal Retrospective.

Pauline is a jeweler, metalsmith and teacher with 30 years experience in her field. She has taught metalworking at a number of locales including the Maine College of Art since 1993 and Lexington Arts & Crafts since 1985.

Her award-winning jewelry incorporates precious/non-precious metals, gems and enamel. She will illustrate her talk with images of her work through the years. Her program promises to be inspiring and entertaining.

The shoppers among us will be happy to know that she will have some beads and bead-related jewelry on hand for sale. When asked, Pauline said she’d be happy to autograph copies of her book for those who are interested.
